"Los Angeles is surrounded by valleys, but there's only one Valley..."
Hush Money, by Peter Israel
Former child actor John Eimen has a web page where he describes his experiences on more than two dozen 1950s and 60s TV series such as "Leave It To Beaver,"
"Ozzie and Harriet" and "Twilight Zone." He starred as Cadet Monk in the series "McKeever and the Colonel," but he realized he didn't have what it takes to be an adult actor while studying at the Valley College theater department. There he saw future acting stalwarts such as Ed Begley Jr. and Michael Richards (who played Kramer on "Seinfeld") in action. Eimen writes: "I was simply not in the same league with performers like these." He also describes playing in rock bands with Begley and others, including a New Year's Eve gig with Sonny and Cher at Don Drysdale's Dugout (see ''We get email" below) in Van Nuys.
